Description
We are an Alberta based, contractor specializing in the installation of underground utilities such as phone, fibre, cable, gas, water, and power. If you are an experienced underground utilities installer, we have an opportunity for you! We are growing rapidly and will need to add more experienced personnel to meet our expected workload.
We are hiring; • Labourers. Hands-on field installer responsible for hand digging and installing cable, conduit, vaults, and other similar underground items. The work may also include the transport and operation of utility construction equipment. Preferred candidate will have experience within the utility construction and maintenance industry.
- HDD Drillers and Locators. Operate a Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground utility cable, conduit and pipe. Preferred candidate will have experience within the utility construction industry. The successful candidate can read utility locate drawings and paint markings and coordinate the hydrovac day-lighting of these facilities. Operators must have the knowledge of utility depths and placement. They must ensure all applicable permits and locates are complete and on site. They should be able to use utility locators.
- Backhoe/Excavator operator. We require experienced hoe operators. The operator must be experience in working around other underground utilities. This is not an entry level position. We require operators with the specific skills to work safely in a congested, urban work area or to perform work in sensitive environments.
Valid Class 5 Drivers licensed is required but a Class 1 or 3 is preferred. Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather and work overtime as required.
